Eligibility Criteria for NIRD Recruitment 2016
Educational Qualification:
1. Professor:
a) First or High Second class Post Graduate degree (with marks of 55% and above) in Sociology, Social/ Cultural Anthropology, Economics, Social Work, Rural Development, Population & Development Studies, Forest Management, Agriculture, Management, Rural Development, Social Sciences, Economics, Banking, Political Science, Public Administration, Local Governance, M.Tech (in any field of Science & Technology including Geo-informatics, Space Technology, Spatial Information Technology), Library Science, Journalism, Mass Media and Statistics.
b) Ph.D. in the relevant discipline
(ii) Experience : a) Atleast 10 years’ experience in teaching in a recognized University or training and/or research in any recognized Institution, of which at least 5 years should be at the level equivalent to that of an Associate Professor in the University/ training/ research Institution of repute.
2. Associate Professor: 
a) First or High Second Class Post Graduate Degree (with marks of 55% and above) in Sociology, Social/ Cultural Anthropology, Economics, Social Work, Rural Development, Population & Development Studies, Forest Management, MBA/ Social Sciences, Banking, Political Science, Public Administration, M.Tech (in any field of Science & Technology including Geo-informatics, Space Technology, Spatial Information Technology), M.B.A. (Rural Management), Library Science, Journalism, Mass Media and Statistics. b) Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
(ii) Experience: a) Atleast 7 years of experience in teaching in a recognized University or training and / or research in any recognized Institution/ Consultancy in the relevant discipline/ subject, of which a minimum 5 years should be at a level of Assistant Professor in the University/ training/ research institution of repute. b) Experience shall be relevant to any of the following areas related to Rural Development & Panchayati Raj
3. Assistant Professor:
a) Minimum of High Second Class Post Graduate Degree (with marks of 55% and above) in Psychology, Sociology, Education, M.B.A, Social/ Cultural Anthropology, Economics, Social Work, Rural Development, Population & Development Studies, Forest Management, Management, Social Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Economics, Political Science, Public Administration, Development Planning, Local Governance, M.Sc. (Agriculture, Forestry), M.B.A. (Rural Management), Environmental Studies, Rural Technology, Entrepreneurship, Disaster Management, Rural Industries / Marketing, Library Science, Journalism, Mass Media and Statistics 7 b) Ph.D. in the relevant discipline. Or Minimum High Second Class Master’s degree in any of the Technical disciplines with Ph.D Or Minimum High Second Class M.Tech degree in any of the relevant Engineering discipline ii) Experience: a) Two years of experience in teaching in a recognised University or training and / or research in an Institution of repute or relevant field experience in any Engineering/ Technological area relevant to Rural Development; b) Experience shall be relevant to any of the following areas related to Rural Development & Panchayati Raj :

Pay Scale:
1. Professor - Rs.37400-67000 with AGP of Rs.10000/-
2. Associate Professor - Rs.37400-67000 with AGP of Rs.9000/-
3. Assistant Professor -Rs.15600-39100 with AGP of Rs.6000/-
